Books! Marvelous! Magnificent! Meaningful!
Module One: The History of Children's Books and Why We Read to Young Children

From Goodnight Moon, Green Eggs & Ham to Mo Willem's Elephant & Piggy series, books are a beloved part of every early childhood program. How did we get here, and why do we read to young children anyway? In this class, participants will examine the history of children's literature and how the use of books in the classroom enriches child development.
