The participants will have the opportunity to become familiar with the Family Childcare Environment Rating Scale (FCCERS-R). They will analyze and practice this comprehensive, reliable and valid instrument that assesses their program quality and quantifies what is observed to be happening in their environment. Participants will have the opportunity to utilize part of the Rating Scale to practice evaluating specific areas in their own childcare settings during class. In small groups we will work in the Oregon QRIS portfolio (Standard AB5) Domain: Administration and Business Practices.
