Self-Advocacy in the Classroom

This class will discuss how to have difficult conversations with co-workers. We will discuss direct vs indirect communication styles, taboos in American culture that complicate conflict, and ways that cross-cultural communication adds challenges to the workplace. Participants will gain knowledge to use in advocating for their own needs, as well as for the health and safety of children in their care.
