Asegurando el Desarrollo Apropiado en la Primera Infancia
Ensuring Appropriate Development in Early Childhood

Evaluation of young children’s learning and development has taken on new importance. Child care programs should be designed to improve social, language and academic skills of children. Providers should work with parents using a variety of assessment tools to gather information about their child so they can understand the child’s abilities and needs. Knowledge about the child’s abilities and needs helps parents and providers to identify goals, what a child can already do, and what he/she is ready to learn next.
