Responding to Challenging Behavior

Challenging behavior can have many different influences and impacts the learning environment in many ways. To effectively respond to children’s behaviors we must first analyze the purpose of the behavior and what behavior we want them to do instead. Through case studies and activities we will examine and practice strategies for responding to challenging behaviors and facilitating a positive environment for development.
