Quality Childcare and Early Education in Oregon
Presented by Dawn Woods, Quality Improvement Manager, Oregon Child Care Division

Quality at Work in Oregon Early education and in particular Child Care is at the fore front of Governor Kitzhaber Education Reform. The importance of young children's early years and the effect it has on their success in life has catapulted Oregon to focus energy and resources to ensure children receive high quality care and education. This focus paired with Oregon's successful Race To the Top application has positioned Oregon well to support early learning and development programs, the professionals working in those programs and the children and families of Oregon. Please come listen and learn how Oregon is refining quality improvement efforts based on lessons learned and research at both the state and national level. Participants will understand the State's priority on early education, learn more about Oregon's Quality Improvement System, and become aware of how they can participate.
