Science, Creative Arts and the Intentional Educator

This presentation will discuss Developmentally Appropriate Practice (DAP) and how to reach students where they are in a context that will allow each student to thrive while learning difficult subjects. It will stress the importance of intentionally integrated curriculum and explore how early experiences are connected to later learning. We will discuss why it is important to reach every type of learner in a child care setting as these early experiences are developing how a child thinks about themselves as a learner and impacts their self concept as an adult.
