In light of recent movements toward a standards-driven, core-curriculum climate, we ask attendees to consider the legacy of our field and the knowledge base we offer to the broader field of early childhood education, including K-3 settings. In this interactive session, we will explore our field’s theoretical roots and awareness that serves as a platform for success across domains of development. We must, as a collective voice, understand and advocate for practices that we know to be Developmentally Appropriate Practice (DAP) and preparatory for success.
