Come Play With Me

Let’s play together as we think about the role of play in a child’s development. We will review the stages of children’s play and the relationship of play to the child’s
development. We will also consider the importance of play in the child’s cognitive and emotional development and discuss how caregivers can facilitate children’s play. Some of the challenges in play, such as aggressive play, including all children in the play and the dreaded triangle will be discussed in a mixture of lecture, play and
individual process.
