Supporting Children in School Readiness
Cohort for Center-Based and Certified Family Child Care Programs

Cohort participants attending this series of trainings will increase their ability to promote school readiness by becoming familiar with the 5 essential domains in the Early Learning Framework:
1. Physical Health and Development
2. Social and Emotional Development
3. Approaches to Learning
4. Language and Literacy
5. Cognition and General Knowledge

One session will be devoted to each domain and include opportunities to reflect on current practice; gain information through presentation, small group activities and hands-on exploration; and try out new approaches between sessions. The topic of the sixth session will be helping children and families transition to kindergarten. Participants are required to attend all six classes to receive training hours.
