This workshop is devoted to language development and those pre-reading skills important for school readiness. We will look at story exploring as a way to help young children develop skills in comprehension, prediction, drawing conclusions, identifying themes and connecting stories to experience. How to select and evaluate children’s books techniques for reading to small groups andideas for vocabulary building will be included in this workshop.
