Self Regulation in Early Childhood: the Key to Learning Readiness

The ability to learn self-regulation in early childhood is a core strength necessary for school readiness and success in adult life. It is an essential part of healthy emotional development. A child who is able to self-regulate is more prepared to learn and less likely to engage in aggression and anti-social behaviors. Self-regulation may come easily to some children but many need help to develop frustration tolerance and an ability to control impulses in order to have successful learning experiences and peer relationships. This training will give you an understanding of how self-regulation develops and tools to facilitate growth in this area.
