Supporting Children’s Mental Health Birth to Twelve

This session provides an overview of the importance of mental health for children from birth to twelve. We will identify and discuss tools to promote mental health and well-being.

    It is your responsibility to verify that the training sessions you select will meet your licensing or professional development needs.

Challenging behaviors can be the biggest obstacle to delivering instruction. When things don't go their way, preschool children can express their frustration with big feelings that can include crying, screaming, hitting, and refusing to follow directions. This presentation will discuss strategies for dealing with these feelings, and how to use consequences as a means to modify behavior.

  • All participants must pay with a credit card or with a scholarship code issued by Clackamas CCR&R and must register for zoom classes in advance, the zoom link will be included in the class confirmation email. Classes canceled less than 2 business days in advance of the training date are not eligible for a refund. Hours will only be issued to participants who arrive no later than 15 minutes after the class begins, hours will be automatically uploaded to ORO by Clackamas CCR&R. Certificates will only be emailed to those who request them by contacting lfrazey@clackesd.org. Participants can only take one live online class at a time.
