Child's Play and Brain Development

There is a powerful connection between brain development and the importance of play for young children.

This training will:
* Take a quick look at brain development from conception through 9 years old
* Engage participants in an understanding of the importance of play during this time frame
* Examine the different stages of play and identify characteristics of play stages

Participants will understand how early childhood classrooms can be an adventure in play for children as they learn to recognize different types of play, see how teacher’s interactions influence children’s play, and get strategies on how to support play in the classroom.
