Play Today, Read Tomorrow
How Everyday Play Builds the Foundation for Reading and Writing

Did you know children begin preparing for reading and writing long before they ever learn the alphabet? Through practical life activities, purposeful movement, and hands-on exploration, young children develop the fine motor skills, concentration, coordination, and independence that make literacy possible. Together we’ll discover how everyday experiences strengthen the pincer grip, prepare the hand for writing, and build the foundation for future reading success. Participants will leave with practical, low-cost activities and immediately usable strategies they can implement in classrooms, family child care programs, and other early learning environments.
