Supporting Young Learners with Autism (Kaalmaynta Bartayaasha Yar-yar oo leh Autism/Maangaar ka)

During this 2-part training series, we will discuss common characteristics and strengths of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). We will look at strategies for how to talk about disability and autism with young children, sensory supports that you can implement in your program, and a variety of strategies to help support and teach young autistic children. These strategies include incorporating special interests, using visual supports, communication supports, adding more structure and teaching social skills.
