Diverse Cultures of Children for Teaching and Learning

Participants review intergenerational trauma, individual tribal culture, and Indigenous worldviews. Participants examine perspectives which shape cultural identity of self and others, explore the impacts of stereotypes and ways to promote equity and anti-bias attitudes and practices. Implementing Indigenous First Steps as a framework for integrating Native language, culture, history, and oral storytelling within programs and classrooms.
