Supporting Lifelong Thriving for Autistic Kids
A Neurodiversity- Affirming Perspective
Far too often we focus on the external behaviors of neurodivergent kids without truly seeing their deepest internal needs. In this talk, you'll gain a lifelong perspective on what authentic well-being means for Autistic people - through the lens of lived experience - based on interviews with dozens of Autistic adults. We'll dive into the cascading positive effect of centering a child's internal needs over their external behaviors. And we'll explore case studies of what strengths-based
approaches look like in action for Autistic children.
