Assessing Your Program

Assess your program quality through exploring the widely used program quality instruments ECERS-R & ITERS-R and viewing their accompanying video tapes. You will practice observing and assessing indicators of various levels of quality in the programs you will examine. Among items that will be explored are: dramatic play, greeting and departing, using language to develop reasoning skills, promoting acceptance of diversity, informal use of language, and interaction among children.
