Connection to and awareness of literacy grows in the early years. When children encounter literacy in playful and meaningful explorations, they are more likely to connect to formal reading and writing instruction in elementary school. This session will begin an exploration of the use of Story Workshop as a strategy for nurturing children's early literacy development.
