Addressing Proprioception and Vestibular Needs in the Classroom
A Teacher's Toolkit

The proprioceptive and vestibular senses are often misunderstood and can be difficult to address in a school environment. How does this play out in the classroom and what are they exactly? Explore ways to support a healthy sensory diet that support the entire community, including children with special needs. Develop experiences that help children with core strength, balance, and self-regulation.

This is one of five training events in an informative and in depth series. The title of the series is "Teaching with Heart: Understanding and Supporting Children with Special Needs." You need to attend all five training sessions to receive credit hours. At the end of the series you will receive individual certificates for each of the related and connected sessions you attend.

"The Prepared Environment and The Prepared Adult for Children on the Spectrum" on Tuesday, August 5, 6-9 pm (Set Two)
“Addressing Proprioception and Vestibular Needs in the Classroom: A Teacher’s Toolkit” on Wednesday, August 6, 6-9 pm (Set Two)
"Team-Centered Approach for Difficult Behaviors in the Classroom" on Thursday, August 7, 6-9 pm (Set Two)
and
"Important Conversations with Families: Cultivating Respectful and Clear Partnerships" on Friday, August 8, 6-9 pm. (Set Two)

Each of these classes is also available as approved video recordings. So, if you can't join us for all five days, you can watch the recording of what you missed for credit.
