Identifying Developmental Delays in the Classroom
Have you ever been faced with the difficult decision of whether to refer a child for Early Intervention or just giving them a little more time to learn the routine? Did you worry afterwards if you made the right choice? In this session we will discuss how to identify a child who is truly struggling and what steps you should take to support that child's development and their famiy. We will also discuss the qualifications for various disabilities, how to refer a child for services, and what to expect if the child does qualify for services. Finally, we will also discuss some effective and simple teaching strategies and modifications to support all children in the classroom.
