Want to inspire young explorers? Join us to see how a variety of “real-world” materials can encourage active learning in early childhood settings. We’ll delve into resources such as:
• Informational pictures, signs and posters
• Child friendly reference books
• Non-fiction books about science, social studies, the arts and technology

Along the way we’ll look at how these materials can support specific skills including:
• Comprehending and sharing information through pictures and print
• Counting, comparing, measuring
• Observing, describing, sorting and classifying
