Outdoor Adventures: 3 Ways to Boost Outdoor Play and Learning
Your Yard, Your Stuff, Your Yes!

Participants will learn why outdoor play and risk are essential to children's health development and see examples of programs that say "yes" to the good stuff of outdoor play. This session will inspire you to add nature to your outdoor spaces and invite participants to take steps to support risky play. Discussion will reflect on our yes's and no's and why's and then visualize how to say yes more. Participants will discuss the benefits of risky play and discuss the difference of risk and safety, new ways to support it, and how to communicate with licensing and parents about risky play.
