In this session, participants will explore Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and related diagnoses, comparing symptomatic behavior to observed behavior, for the purpose of providing better supports to children. Participants will prepare to support parents who have sought or may be considering approaching their child’s care provider about a diagnosis.

Prior knowledge you need:
Knowledge of the features of a person's anatomical and physiological development at different age stages.
Knowledge of the leading types of activity at different age stages.
Knowledge of the development of the emotional-volitional sphere and the formation of personality.
Knowledge of the development of mental processes and understanding of the age limits for each stage.
