Modulo 5. Serie de módulos del modelo piramide para bebes y niños pequeños: Enseñar sobre los sentimientos (Module 5. Pyramid Model Infant-Toddler Module Series: Teaching About Feelings)
Emotional literacy is identifying and understanding emotions in appropriate and healthy ways. Emotional literacy skills develop over time and, for infants, toddlers and preschoolers, are a “work in progress.” In fact, many of the challenging behaviors we see in young children are evidence of their developmental stages. In this session, we will explore what emotional literacy development looks like (i.e., labeling feelings in self and others, recognizing facial and physiological cues, modulating responses, developing coping strategies) and share a variety of strategies teachers can use to support and teach young early learners to our care about feelings.
