Supporting Young Mathematicians
Using Storybooks to Inspire Math Play and Learning

Participants in "Supporting Young Mathematicians" connect mathematics with literacy and play. Participants will engage with current research about math learning, analyze storybooks, and experience fun and developmentally-appropriate math activities to take back to their learning settings. Finally, participants will apply concepts to create and share an original math activity based on a story.

    It is your responsibility to verify that the training sessions you select will meet your licensing or professional development needs.

Join staff from the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry to connect literacy, mathematics, and play. We will learn fun developmentally-appropriate story based games that you can take back to use in your learning setting. You will also take home tools to design new story-centered activities that work best for your preschool-aged learners!

Tickets include same-day admission to the museum for the participant.
