Resilient Foundations with Conscious Discipline

Conscious Discipline is an adult-first, trauma-responsive approach to self-regulation that integrates social and emotional learning, equitable school culture, theory and application, and research and brain-based discipline practices.
join us for an interactive, fun day of learning how to build resilient foundations in ourselves and children so that we no longer rely on punishment-based practices. Come and learn how the brain states govern behavior and how we support the need of each brain state so that we can model and teach self-regulation and problem-solving skills to our children. Learn new strategies that show a healthy approach for every child, every teacher, and every parent.

Sue’s presentation will share the philosophy of Conscious Discipline through lecture, activity, and discussion. Participants will be encouraged to ask questions and share their experiences so that they can strengthen their own self-regulation skill set in order to optimally support children with self-regulation.
