Creating a Language-Rich Environment

Language development is the single most important predictor of later school success. Preschool teachers play a critical role in developing language by creating a language-rich environment in which children have multiple opportunities to engage in language activities. This presentation will discuss strategies for increasing vocabulary, developing phonological awareness, and encouraging print awareness and emergent writing skills.
