Understanding and Guiding Behavior in Children Affected by Trauma

Participants will examine how child care providers can assist young children who are exposed to trauma. Participants will explore the ways children respond to trauma and the lasting effects of trauma. Participants will examine how children process their experiences with trauma and the influences that help children recover. Informed adults implementing these strategies will help children deal with trauma, having positive effects on family, development of the child, mental health and child outcomes.

  • All participants must pay with a credit card or with a scholarship code issued by Clackamas CCR&R and must register for zoom classes in advance, the zoom link will be included in the class confirmation email. Classes canceled less than 2 business days in advance of the training date are not eligible for a refund. Hours will only be issued to participants who arrive no later than 15 minutes after the class begins, hours will be automatically uploaded to ORO by Clackamas CCR&R. Certificates will only be emailed to those who request them by contacting efitzsimons@clackesd.org. Participants can only take one live online class at a time.
