Start with a Book: Welcoming Winter

Looking for ways to launch meaningful discussions and activities in your early childhood settings? Start with a book! In this session we’ll explore ways to use books about winter to build children’s sense of wonder and support their learning across developmental domains.

Join us to learn more about how winter-themed books and related experiences can help children develop skills related to:
• Initiative, curiosity and creativity
• Listening, communicating, speaking and vocabulary
• Phonological awareness, print and alphabet knowledge, comprehension and writing skills
• Numbers, counting, measurement, data, geometry and spatial sense
