Success for All in the Inclusive Classroom
As teachers, we get the opportunity to teach children that an effective community includes everyone. Positive classrooms don’t just happen, we create them. When we support the “misbehaving” child all children get the message that they belong, are accepted, loved and cared for no matter what they say or how behave. In this session, we will explore and expand upon the demonstrated benefits of creating an inclusive childhood care and education environment to include strategies for supporting children who are witnessing the atypical behavior of their peers.
