A Glimpse into Children's Lives and Dreams

Does your classroom library reflect the diversity of the world around? Join Melissa East, B.S. Ed. , as she shares why it’s important that children experience books that reflect diverse cultures and identities. Participants will learn about the importance of Mirror and Window books while also getting hands-on experience exploring stories that present all kinds of diversity, build empathy and bring awareness of the world around us. Educators will return inspired with tools to make changes to their classroom libraries.
