DPL 101: Leap into Early Literacy

This workshop is based on early brain development research and resources related to Every Child Ready to Read 2.0, an initiative of the ALA Public Library Association and the Association for Library Service to Children. Through this workshop, Community Librarians from Deschutes Public Library will familiarize attendees with the six early literacy skills and the five early literacy practices. Attendees will learn how to transform circle time into interactive, early literacy enhanced Storytimes through the purposeful application of these key early literacy concepts. Receive a Deschutes Public Library branded tote containing early literacy goodies upon completion of the workshop.
