In this presentation, we will overview basic techniques and methods for appropriate observation. Participants will be introduced to confidentiality and its importance in the classroom. There will be short videos from various early childhood education settings with objective and subjective statements describing the children’s actions. Participants will break off into small groups to discuss which techniques they are already using and which ones they will adopt going forward.
