Read, Read, Read to Me!: Story Time Skills

This program provides training for caregivers on reading to young children using proven story time skills that capture children's interest and support early literacy development. Caregivers who complete a "Story Time Skills" workshop will observe a story time, modeled by a professional librarian and will have access to checking out story time kits, which will include: flannel board story, finger rhymes, books, puppets, craft idea on a specific theme of the kit. Caregivers will also receive one of the books that were read at the workshop along with new ideas on how to share the book in her child care setting.
