Preschool classrooms often focus on the development of skills such as counting, comparison, and sequencing. Participants will discover the concepts behind these skills to support the meaningful development of mathematical thinking (numeracy). We will discuss how a teacher’s understanding of these concepts can lay the foundation for children to excel in math throughout their schooling.
