Linking Nutrition to Growth & Development

An infant’s vitality and successful development depends on good nutrition in the first year of life. As infants transition to childhood, nutrition needs shift and feeding demands change. In this training, participants will explore the connection between nutrition and development and examine the influence of personal, social and environmental factors on feeding practices. We will explore the components of a wholesome diet to meet the unique nutrition needs of the infant and toddler and examine physical activity recommendations reflecting best nutrition practices.
