Please note there are two ways to register for this class. We encourage you to read each option carefully so you select the correct option for your needs:
Option One: If you are seeking Community Based Training hours for this class, not college credit through RCC, then please proceed by registering via www.sopowerup.com or by contacting Patty Carty with the Child Care Resource Network at (541) 842-2590, if you do not have Internet access.
You can take just one class, several, or an entire series when you register this way and the hours will be accepted by the Child Care Division. The cost of a full series is $50. The cost per module is $12.50 for a 2.5 hour class. If you have questions about this option, please contact Patty Carty at (541) 842-2590, or pattyc@jobcouncil.org for assistance.
Option Two: If you are seeking College Course Credit through Rogue Community College for taking this class as a part of a complete series, register with RCC by visiting www.roguecc.edu . Click on “My Rogue” on the left of the screen and then “Create New Student Account.” Once you have successfully completed this step, you may register for the course series by finding the correct series in RCC’s online Schedule of Classes.
This course is ECE 126B. If you have difficulty navigating this process and need technical assistance, please contact Eileen Micke-Johnson at (541) 245-7553, or at emicke@roguecc.edu for further assistance.
If you select this option, your college transcript will show the courses you have successfully completed and this will also meet the Child Care Division’s requirements. The cost for 1 college credit is $85 for the series.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Scholarships may be available for those currently working with children; however, this application process takes a few weeks to complete, so we encourage you to plan early. Please visit www.centerline.pdx.edu and click on “Scholarship Program” at the top of the page to learn more. If you need assistance with this scholarship application, please contact Lorena Juarez at (541) 842-2610, or lorenaj@jobcouncil.org.
