UMHS New Staff Orientation
This training was developed to provide participants with quality comprehensive training and information on programs available to community families and children.
Participants will learn what Health, Safety & Nutrition means and why it is important to the children in our communities. Participants will be introduced to the OCC rules and regulations. Standards written and upheld by Oregon Early Learning Division and Licensing. Participants will learn practices to keeping children and staff safe and healthy requires the implementation of health related laws, practices, and routines in all aspects of the program.
Participants will lean how the different agency of the community work together and how to access these programs for the families and children in our area, For wrap around care and services to those furthest from opportunities.
Participants will learn childcare Head Start Standards and expectations. Adherence to Licensing and Child Safety Requirements, as well as Contracts and Best Practice Compliance, Active supervision of clients, sites and Policies and Procedure Development, Guidance and Support.
Participants will learn about blood borne pathogens, health and safety in their work place. Participants will learn what is expected in some of the basic situations they may encounter working with the employer. Participants will learn how to document incidents and whom they need to contact in such instances.
Participants will learn about Oregon Online Registry (ORO) and how to navigate their account. Participants will learn an Overview of how to support their professional and/or leadership development. why it is important and how to update their information including uploading documents and furthering their knowledge base in this field.
