Using the Circle of Security to Improve the Quality of Classroom Relationships
"Interactions between children and adults are the primary mechanism for development and learning. By investing in the quality of classroom relationships, we will see improvements in both teacher wellbeing and in the developmental outcomes for children. Goals for this series include:
- Learn the importance of teachers in children's lives and the central role relationships play in learning,
- Learn to use the Circle graphic to understand both children's behaviors and the underlying attachment needs, and
- Create opportunities to enhance teachers' observation and reflection skills.
Based on formalized Circle of Security curriculum, including videos, reflection, and discussion. Participants must complete all four sessions."
