Born to Move
Setting up Infant Toddler Environments in Homes and Centers for Maximum Movement

Planning care and play spaces designed for free play and exploration can be challenging for infant/toddler groups. Concerns around safety, holding/carrying, and learning can prevent infants and toddlers from fully benefiting from open play spaces. Explore theories of free movement and learning, plan spaces to increase movement, and create a "before & after" album to illustrate professional development.
