This workshop will provide an overview on advancing racial equity, inclusion & social justice in early childhood(EC). There are persistent race-based disparities in risks, access, positive experiences, & outcomes. This workshop will outline the problem & unique context, as well as share a framework for racial equity that highlights ways to increase awareness, analysist, action & accountability, both individually as EC professionals & collectively as an EC Community. The aim is to encourage critical reflection, dialogue & planning for racial equity & justice.
