Understanding the NEAR Science of Trauma

Participants will learn about NEAR: Neurobiology, Epigenetics, ACEs, and Resilience. They will: investigate how the brain responds to traumatic events, and how each person's unique family history can contribute to this response; learn about the role the role of resilience in offsetting trauma; and identify ways to help build resilience in ourselves, in children, and in our communities. Follow-up training “Building Resilience in ECE Programs” will cover more ideas and info about resilience.
