Использовании методик мониторинга развития детей в дошкольных учреждениях: учет культурных особенностей славянского сообщества
In the first “theoretical” part of the training, participants will get an overview about the general purpose of monitoring children’s development at early learning programs. They will explore differences between screening and assessments; they will be able to learn the “Whats, Whys and Hows” of those processes, and discuss a culturally responsive approach. Also, participants will refresh their knowledge about important areas of children`s development according to the “Early Learning and Kindergarten Guidelines” and “Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework, Ages Birth to Five”. In the second “practical” part of the training, participants will explore Childhood Development Checklists, in the Russian language, for children in the following age groups, 1-2, 2-3, 3-5 years old. They will learn how those assessment tools align with “Early Learning and Kindergarten Guidelines” and “Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework, Ages Birth to Five”. Also, participants will practice how to use the Checklists to conduct developmental assessments in their early learning programs. This will give providers valuable information to make program improvements and will benefit children and families.
