BLACK CHILDREN MATTER: A Summit on Expulsion and Suspensions in Early Care & Education

Presented by Black Child Development/PDX with support from Child Care Resource and Referral- Multnomah County and Mt. Hood Community College

Expulsion Prevention Committee’s Mission: To end the epidemic of disruptive and traumatizing suspensions and expulsions of African-American children, Brown children, and children with disabilities from child care settings by empowering early learning professionals to maintain enrollment of all children in their educational care programs, and by raising public awareness of the rights of children to continuous inclusion in their community, including in any child care setting chosen by their family.
