Deepening Family Engagement and Relationships in an Era of Distance

This training will provide participants the opportunity to reflect on the way that meaningful family engagement occurs in the context of relationships. We will explore strategies used by programs to deepen relationships with families that have been successful and how programs have adapted during COVID. Participants will explore culturally-responsive practices to deepen relationships and build emotional-closeness with families at a time when physical-distancing has become necessary. Participants will use updated Health & Safety guidelines and the Spark family survey to develop a plan to adapt their family engagement and relationship building strategies.
