Diversity and Cultural Awareness

Participants in this workshop become aware of the cultural diversity of the community including thefamily culture of the children they care for. They will be able to indentify how their own care facilityreflects the diversity of the children in care and how to choose a variety of materials for use in theirsetting. Through discussion and role play we will review how to appropriately help children respond todifferences in color, language, gender and physical disability.
