Going Beyond Counting for Real Math Discussions
Participants will examine factors contributing to a high-quality math education and practice a hands-on approach for applying these principles through meaningful discussions and authentic experiences in the early childhood learning environment. Each participant will develop a plan for integrating number bag activities, moving children beyond rote counting and toward a deep sense of numbers and foundational math concepts.
