Examine the effects of ACES on brain development and investigate mindfulness and social-emotional strategies

Participants will examine the ACES research and the impact of adverse childhood experiences, and explore the benefits of incorporating mindfulness, creative movement, and yoga techniques in the classroom with a focus on supporting adversely impacted learners. Strategies to promote brain based learning, foster curiosity and empathy, and nurture social and emotional skills will be explored.
